Secretary General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, on Sunday said it is the responsibility of everybody today to work for conducting political dialogue in Syria, stressing that those who are hindering this dialogue are the ones to blame for all the blood being shed in Syria.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Speaking during the 23rd University Graduation Ceremony in Beirut, Nasrallah said it is the armed opposition and the regional countries standing behind it which refuse to go for dialogue, which means the continuation of the killing, violence, destruction and bloodshed.

"Whoever thinks that the armed opposition in Syria is capable of resolving things militarily on the ground is mistaken," Hezbollah Secretary General stressed, affirming that what some media outlets portray on the collapse of Damascus and the near fall of the Syrian state is incorrect.

He addressed those who speak about morals, asking them how their moral positions justify the killing of Syrian people with car bombs or slaughtered with knives or thrown off buildings or murdered based on their identity.

Nasrallah said that each death in Syria causes great grief and pain, regardless of the affiliation or position of those who are killed, but there are countries that have a lot of money and benefit from the conflict and Syria and don't care if the fighting continues in it.

He affirmed that Hezbollah and Al Qaeda are adversaries, addressing Al Qaeda members and telling them that the US, Europe and some Arab governments set a trap for them in Syria so that they go there and end up killing Syrians and dying there.

Nasrallah said that the situation in Syria has become more complex as takfiri forces are involved, which worries even their allies in the opposition.

He also reiterated that the humane, moral, religious, national and strategic responsibilities dictate exerting all possible efforts to launch a consensual dialogue resulting in a political resolution in Syria.

Hezbollah Secretary General warned some Lebanese political sides who are betting on the government's fall in Syria, saying that emirs, kings, presidents and ministers had been predicting the fall of the Syrian government since the beginning of the crisis, yet after two years this hasn't happened.

He affirmed that those in Lebanon who bet on false media claims that Damascus is falling apart should reconsider their information and estimations.
